It’s time to bridge that gap in your smile with a dental bridge! This is a restorative treatment that can help you fix your smile, giving the functioning abilities you are missing as well as the look you want. You will regain many functions including the way you speak, the ways you eat and chew your food, relieve stress on the joints, and enhance your jaw motion. Here at Dr. Frederick Prehn’s clinic, we strive to give you the best dental treatment so you can return to your daily routine.

Your dentist will discuss the three different bridge approaches to consider, and these typically include the use of your natural teeth, crowns, implants, and/or a combination of these options. Bridges can come in the form of a Maryland-artificial tooth bonded to surrounding teeth-, traditional-crowns connected to both surrounding teeth-, or cantilever-artificial tooth connected to a crown.

After determining the course of treatment, your new dental bridge will either be made with porcelain, alloys, or a combination of different materials. A mold is first made of your teeth to get the best fit, and a dental crown is placed on each side of the missing space. This will hold the dental bridge in place. It can take up to two visits while waiting for the replacement bridge to be made.

After it is made, your dentist will then place your new dental bridge. You may need to return afterwards to ensure its comfortability and fit.
