Dr. Prehn performs various oral procedures in-office utilizing anesthetic, nitrous oxide sedation, and oral sedation, as needed. He also utilizes the Wausau Surgery Center and the Aspirus Wausau Hospital Center in complex cases that require general anesthetic.
Examples of oral procedures performed on a routine basis are:
- Extractions (both simple and surgical)
- Impactions of wisdom teeth--removal of third molars
- Soft tissue revisions such as frenectomy, gingivectomy, prosthetic surgery (before dentures), small benign lesions and tumors
- Trauma, biopsy, minor periodontal surgery (off site)
Dr. Prehn refers complex surgical cases to area specialists in oral and maxillofacial surgery and periodontology.
